Most patients maintain their weight loss by staying on dead animals and vegies Monday through Friday, and taking Saturday or Sunday off, and eating what they want. This is my most popular maintenance option, probably 90% of patients do this – low carb through the week, take the weekend off. The other option works just as well, and it’s life changing for folks who choose to live this way, but it’s no where near as popular – because it’s harder. Every other day you limit your calories to about 500. The most popular ways to do this are Bars, Formula, Cookies, or vegies and fruit only. On your Off Day – you eat whatever you want.
