When weight loss stops on a low carbohydrate diet, the first thing to do is to stop eating dairy products (cheese is way too many calories, way too fast) and nuts (way too many calories and way too many carbohydrates, way too fast). The second thing to do is to increase your fat intake and decrease protein. Instead of eating a one pound rib-eye steak, eat 2 one pound rib-eye steaks, but just eat the crowns (the outside fatty ring of the steak) and give the eye of the steakds (the lean center part) to your spouse or kids. Instead of eating two chicken breasts (don’t eat chicken skin, it’s the wrong kind of fat), eat one chicken breast drenched in olive oil.
