I’ve been on the McDonald’s version of my Fast Food Diet the past two days. Two days ago I ate four Double
Quarter Pounders with Cheese (NO buns). Yesterday I had three Double Quarter Pounders with Cheese (NO
buns). Today I’ll have two Double Quarter Pounders with Cheese (NO buns). It will be interesting to see if
tomorrow I can get by with only one Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese (NO buns). An interesting side effect
of my Fast Food Diet, is that the longer you follow it, the less hungry you will be. There are two reasons you are
less hungry. The first reason is because over time on this very low carbohydrate program, your insulin level
drops, so you are naturally less hungry. Insulin is the primary hormone that drives fat storage and effects your
hunger level. The second reason you are less hungry on my Fast Food Diet, is that if you choose to eat the same
fast food every day, the monotony factor kicks in, so the food is a little less appealing. I love the fact that most
patients lose 3-5 pounds a week, gorging at McDonald’s, and they’re not hungry.
