One of the best strategies for consistent weight loss is to alternate starving on a very low calorie, low carbohydrate diet, with not starving (so much) on a low carbohydrate diet, as long as you don’t take your calories to stupid. For example, follow my Cat Food Diet for a day or two, or any 500-1000 calorie very low carb diet that appeals to you. Let’s say you eat 4 quarter pound fast food burgers a day (no buns – about 800 calories a day) for a day or two. Then, double your calories – eat 8 quarter pound fast food burgers a day (no buns – about 1600 calories a day) for a day or two. Alternate between starving low carb (500-1000 calories a day) and reasonable low carb (1500-1800 calories a day).
