Starch cravings on low carb diets often go away with salt. Make sure you are drinking 2-4 bouillon cubes (beef, vegetable or chicken) in water, every day. If you are still craving starches, increase your high sodium animal intake for a day or two – hot dogs with mustard, omelets with salted butter, bacon in moderation. If you are still craving starch, decrease your protein and increase your fat intake. Cut your protein portions in half, and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to each protein serving. Most of the time, carbohydrate cravings disappear, when you get the fat, salt and protein balance right.
