I’m a fan of quick weight loss, because the faster you lose weight, the more likely you are going to stay on your
diet. The faster you lose weight, the more likely you’ll continue losing weight. The strategy that is most helpful
for long term weight loss then, is to prevent weight gain when you are sick and tired of dieting. To lose weight as
quickly as possible, eat as little as possible. Stay on 500-1000 calories of protein and fat as long as you can. If
you can’t do 500-1000 calories, take your calories up to 1500. You should lose at least 3-5 pounds every
week on this low carbohydrate, low calorie program. Most of your calories (65% of your daily calorie intake)
should come from fat. Eat the skin on chicken and the fat on meat. You’ll have more energy, fewer cravings,
and be less hungry – the more fat you eat. Drink your weight in ounces of water every day, and 2-4 bouillon
cubes (chicken, beef or vegetable) to keep your sodium up – to maximize energy, minimize cravings, and prevent
muscle cramps. When you absolutely, positively can’t diet anymore, the trick that can help you maintain without
gaining – is to add 500-600 calories of olive oil a day to whatever you are eating. Even if you decide to freely
feed, to go completely off your diet and eat whatever you want – 500-600 calories of olive oil can do major
damage control. This is approximately 25% of your daily calorie intake. But this staggering amount of olive oil
can help control feeding frenzy and your carbohydrate cravings, which is what weight gain is all about.
