Another good option for quick weight loss is a low carbohydrate diet, where you freely feed one day (keep your carb intake to less than 10 grams per feeding, don’t worry about calories, but don’t get stupid) – and eat 500 low carb calories the next day. Weight loss is still 3-5 pounds a week, because the super low calorie intake on your 500 day, buffers any damage you do on your free feeding day. Make sure you count your carbohydrates very carefully on this program. Some patients do terrifically well this way. They don’t feel anywhere near as deprived, as they do on 1500 low carb calories a day.
