Binging takes place later in the day, in the afternoon and in the evening, when your liver glycogen supply is getting low. Unless you are already living on a low carbohydrate diet and have depleted your liver glycogen supply, as the day progresses – your sweet and starch cravings are going to increase. Your body is using up your readily available carbohydrate source (liver glycogen). Over the long run, the less carbohydrate you eat, the lower your liver glycogen supply. The lower your liver glycogen supply, the lower your carbohydrate cravings.
