Limiting Easter damage

Limiting Easter damage

You can limit Easter damage by being picky, very picky. Most of the Easter candy sitting on every surface isn’t worth eating. If you love chocolate, decide if you prefer Hershey’s or Nestle’s or Dove’s or Lindt’s – and eat only Hershey’s or Nestle’s or Dove’s or LIndt’s eggs or bunnies. Ham is very low calorie, ditto turkey. Bread and rolls and double their calories when you put butter or cream cheese or peanut butter on them. Pies have one quarter of the calories, if you just eat the filling and leave the crust. Cake has half the calories, if you eat the part you like in the proportion you like, whether it’s the frosting or the cake or both. Gravy can triple the calories of whatever you add it to. Shrimp is almost calorie-free. Ditto fat-free cottage cheese. Whipped cream can double the calories of whatever you put it on. You can have 2 tablespoons of anything. If you go over the 2 tablespoon mark, choose carefully.
