Don’t eat before you get hungry. Eating before you get hungry does not prevent overeating later in the day. Eating before you get hungry just adds useless calories and slows down weight loss. Don’t eat breakfast unless you are hungry. Eating breakfast does nothing but add additional calories and slows down weight loss. Breakfast does not help damage control later in the day. Don’t eat 4 or 6 mini meals throughout the day. The best thing you can do is to go as long as you can without eating anything. Where you are ravenous, go ahead and eat. There’s no advantage to eating 6 or 4 or 2 or 1 meal a day. All calories you eat are processed exactly the same way, whether you eat once, twice or sixteen times a day. Don’t worry about night eating. Night eating is no different than day eating. All calories are processed exactly the same way, whether eaten at 8 in the morning or at midnight.
