Keep problem food out of your house – or buy the smallest serving possible

If a food is in your house, there’s a good chance you are going to end up eating it – just like an alcoholic ends up drinking any bottle of alcohol in the pantry. Always keep problem foods out of your house, and when you do buy them, buy the smallest possible portion. You’re much better off with a pint of ice cream than a half gallon in your fridge. Buy individual slices of cake or pie, instead of a whole cake or pie. Small servings are much more expensive, but the bargain of the century in terms of calorie damage.
