A couple of tricks today to really speed up your weight loss this week. You should be down on average at least
5 pounds every week on my program. The first trick is to diet Every Other Day. You stay on Run, Walk, Swim
or Fly – but one day you feed freely, eat as much as you want. The next day, try to limit yourself to 2-4 fist fulls
of protein. Some patients do much better dieting Every Other Day, and the calorie limitation on your Diet Day
keeps the weekly calories from getting stupid, which is why people don’t lose weight on Atkins after 2 months.
The other thing you can do is to write down everything you eat. Keep a diet journal. I know it sounds silly, and it
stops woirking as soon as you stop journaling, but a trick that really helps many people cut calories is a simple
daily journal. Even if you cheat, write it down. Get a little notebook just to write down everything you eat. You’ll
be surprised how much journaling can help.
