Every other day dieting works. But you have to drastically cut your calories on your Diet Day, in order to
efficiently lose weight. You can pretty much eat what you want on your Off Day, as long as you don’t go crazy
and keep your calories within reason. But on your Diet Day, try to eat no more than 500 calories a day. 500
calories is almost nothing. A Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese (no bun) is 500 calories. 4 six-ounce
containers of yogurt is 500 calories. 4 snack size boxes of cereal with skim milk is 500 calories. Two chicken
salads from McDonalds with diet dressing is 500 calories. Figure out 500 calories you can live on every other
day, and you can lose about 5 pounds every week. When it’s been studied, you lose more weight eating 500
calories one day and 1500 calories the next day, compared to eating 1000 calories every day. Drastically cutting
calories limits fat storage.
