If you are tired and crave sweets and starches while dieting, half the time you just may be low in salt, especially
on a low carbohydrate diet. The next time you find yourself dragging or craving junk, have a cup or two of
boullion (chicken, beef or vegetarian), and see if you don’t perk up and lose your cravings. Sodium depletion is
one of the most common problems on low carbohydrate diets, and often presents as fatigue, listlessness and crap
craving. Add a sprinkle of salt to everything you eat, and increase your fat intake. Don’t increase your calories
much over 1000-1500, so cut down your protein portions when you add olive oil or butter to meat, fish or fowl.
You’ll feel better and lose weight faster.
