Cat Food vs Fat Fest

Cat Food vs Fat Fest

The easiest way to lose weight is on my Cat Food Diet, but if you’re willing to put in a little more work and pay attention, my Fat Fest is a lot more fun. The easy thing about Cat Food is that it’s structured and portion controlled, so you can’t screw up. The hard thing about Cat Food is that you’re living on essentially cat food, and it’s not very exciting. If you can keep your calories at no more than 1500, you’ll lose weight quickly on Fat Fest, and it’s a lot more palatable. Don’t make yourself too crazy over the 1500 calorie mark. Most patients can eat up to 1800 calories a day and still lose weight. But eating 1500 calories a day is better, and eating 1000 calories a day is even better. The problem with Fat Fest is keeping your calories under control, with a high fat intake. Fat contains 9 calories per gram, compared to protein and carbohydrate, which both contain 4 calories per gram. The easiest way to keep your calories from getting stupid on Fat Fest is portion-controlled high fat food. Eggs are 80 calories each. Costco’s 6 ounce frozen ground sirloin burgers are 300 calories each. Olive oil is 100 calories per tablespoon. Cheese is 100 calories per slice. Butter is 100 calories per tablespoon. Eat 75% of your calories from fat, 25% of your calories from protein. Count eggs, cheese, olive oil and butter as fat. Count everything else as protein.
