It’s going to sound like I’m anti-low carb, but I’m not. I’m anti-free feeding low carb, which does not work. Even if you limit your carbohydrates to 10 grams a feeding, you absolutely, positively cannot eat as much as you want, and expect to lose weight. Really. You can get Carb Smart low carb ice cream and top it with Hershey’s low carb chocolate syrup. You can get low carb sugar-free pudding and top it with low carb sugar-free real whipped cream. Do you really think you can lose weight, eating this crap? There’s not a single low carb diet store I’ve ever seen that’s stayed in business. Atkins Nutritionals was in bankruptcy. There’s a reason. Low carb treats don’t help you lose weight. Most low carb specialty foods are sold online, but you can still get way too many low carb “delicacies” at Kroger and Meijer. Figure out a way to keep your calories between 1000-1500, limit your carbohydrate intake to 10-20 grams a feeding, and you’ll lose weight. Not much else works. I don’t care what the low carb diet books say. You really, truly can’t eat as much as you want, and lose weight.
