An 8 ounce fruit cup of melon, berries and pineapple is 60-70 calories. You can eat 16 fruit cups (don’t, you’ll get sick) or the 2 bags of almonds and cashews, and take in about the same number of calories and carbohydrates. It is almost impossible to eat any significant quantities of nuts and lose weight on a low carb or a low calorie diet.
