Weight loss isn’t just calories – but it’s mostly calories

Weight loss isn’t just from cutting calories, but it’s probably mostly from cutting calories. One of my favorite studies shows twice as much weight on on 1500 calories of protein and fat a day, compared to 1500 calories of carbohydrate a diet. But if you don’t limit your calories, you are not going to lose weight on a low carbohydrate diet. You absolutely, positively cannot eat as much as you want – or even begin to freely feed on a low carb diet, and expect to lose weight.
