I hate frequent small meals. There’s no metabolic advantage to eating six times a day, or eating once a day. It’s like putting gas in your car. It doesn’t matter how often (or what time) you put fuel in your car. The worst thing I can do is go on a 4-6 mini-meal program. I eat once a day, usually after 7pm. Up until then, I don’t eat anything at all. I drink coffee and tea and Diet Coke and Diet Vernors and Diet Doctor Pepper by the gallon. I suck on Jols. But I usually don’t eat anything at all until after 7pm. Try not eating until you are ravenously hungry. Most people eat way before hunger kicks in. This said, some patients do better eating 4-6 mini meals a day. You probably already know what’s best for you. If you’re not hungry, don’t eat.
