The best way to deal with carbohydrate cravings

Cognitive Defusion for carbohydrate cravings can be life-changing, but it’s not the ultimate goal or the best way to address your carbohydrate cravings. If you haven’t already, go to youtube, search for Bill Nagler, and do Tug of War with the Carbohydrate Monster, Carbs on a Cloud and Carbs on a Stream. Cloud and Stream are powerful ways to manage your carbohydrate cravings. But they are not your ultimate goal. When you use Cognitive Defusion to accept your carbohydrate cravings, or to let your carbohydrate cravings be (driving a wedge between thought and action, so you don’t eat the carbs) – there’s a level of engagement with your carbohydrate cravings that isn’t really necessary. Your ultimate goal for dealing with your carbohydrate cravings, is not to accept your cravings or to let your cravings be, but to do nothing. Carbohydrate cravings are like the elephant in the room. If the elephant is already in the room, you don’t have to accept that the elephant is in the room. You don’t have to let the elephant be in the room. The elephant is already in the room. What do you have to do about the elephant? Nothing, except don’t let him step on you.
