Most patients lose 5-10 pounds a week on Cat Food (see the past 3 blogs), are remarkably not hungry, and full of energy. The tricks that make the diet easy are (1) Go as long as you can without eating. If you’re not hungry until 8pm, don’t eat until 8pm. When you are hungry, eat 2 cans of Cat Food. You’ll be surprised how long you feel full. (2) Make sure you drink at least 128 ounces of non-caloric fluid a day. (3) Make sure you drink at least 2 bouillon cubes dissolved in hot water every day to keep your energy up and sweet cravings down. (4) Make sure you stay on the same Cat Food for at least 2 days in a row before changing. (5) Don’t eat anything else except Jols (up to packages a day) and Diet Jello (up to 2 packages a day). (6) Keep moving. Try to take a brisk 20-30 minute walk every day. Get 2 dogs. They will take you.
