If you are not losing weight fast enough on a low carb diet, you’re eating too much

If you’re following the traditional low carb diet, and start your day with bacon and eggs, or eggs with sausage – there’s a good chance you’ll go over 500 calories for your breakfast, and you’re eating more calories than you should be eating all day. Eggs are 70-80 calories each. Butter is 100 calories per tablespoon. Bacon is 100 calories per strip. Sausage is 200-300 calories per link or patty. Do the math. If you truly want to lose weight, your best best is to follow a very low carbohydrate diet (less than 10 grams of carb per feeding), and eat less than 500-600 calories per day. 99% of the time when patients are not losing weight fast enough on a low carb diet, they are eating too many calories a day.
