If you absolutely, positively, have to eat fruit

The problem with low calorie diets, is that if you don’t restrict carbohydrates, on 1000-1500 calories a day, without carbohydrate restriction – you’re probably going to be too darn hungry to follow the diet. Carbohydrate restriction decreases your hunger. The less carbohydrate you eat, the less hungry you are going to be. Fruit is fun to eat, but it’s loaded with carbohydrate, and one of the best ways to sabotage your diet. If you absolutely, positively feel that you have to eat fruit – grapefruit, melon, berries and pineapple are your best choices. Fruit causes twice as much fat storage as simple carbohydrate, but the 4 fruits mentioned contain half the calories and half the sugar of the usual suspects – apples, oranges, bananas and pears.
