You’re actually better off eating in fast food restaurants (McDonald’s, Arby’s, Wendy’s, Burger King) than midrange
(Outback, Red Lobster, TGI Friday’s) or high-end (Morton’s, Ruth’s Chris, PF Chang’s). The reason
low-end is better for weight loss than high-end, is because of the 200 calorie rule. In general, all burgers without
the bun, or grilled chicken without the bun, or a roast beef sandwich without the bun – are about 200 calories.
It’s easy to limit yourself to 500-1500 calories a day this way, because you can count. At Outback or at
Morton’s, it’s much harder. Is that 8, 10 or 12 ounces of steak? Is that steak 50, 60 or 80 calories an ounce?
In high-end restaurants, it’s a secret. At fast food restaurants, it’s posted.
