Don’t forget your bouillon cubes

It’s important to drink at least 2 bouillon cubes in water (4 is better) every day that you are on on
a 500-600 calorie diet, to prevent sodium depletion and muscle cramping. You can get cramps in
places you didn’t imagine could cramp – your thumb, rib cage, chin, jaw, soles of your feet,
calves, etc. Sodium depletion is a normal physiologic side effect of a very low calorie diet and
rapid weight loss. Drink your bouillon every day. It doesn’t matter what kind of cubes – beef,
chicken or vegetable. You will have much more energy too.
