My favorite strategy for dealing with sweet and starch cravings is Cognitive Defusion, which comes from ACT or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Cognitive Defusion helps you experience your carbohydrate cravings, without giving into them. Your carbohydrate cravings are not going to go away. Carbohydrate cravings are naturally triggered over time by internal (biochemical) and external (sights and smells and associations) stimuli.
