Calories vs Carbohydrates

Calories vs Carbohydrates

The question is, does your weight depend more on your carbohydrate intake, or does your weight depend more on your calorie intake? The answer is your weight depends on both, but your weight probably depends more on your carbohydrate intake. If you are eating more than 300 grams of carbohydrate a day, which is the American average, you’re probably fat. 60% of Americans are fat. We are fat because we are eating too much carbohydrate per feeding, which causes too much fat storage. If you are eating 200 grams of carbohydrate a day, you may or may not have a weight problem, it’s probably 50/50. If you are eating 100 grams of carbohydrate a day, you may weight more than you would like to weigh, but you are probably not obese. If you are eating 60 grams of carbohydrate a day or less, you probably don’t have a weight problem, and you weigh pretty much what you want to weigh.
