Timing diets generally don’t work. Diets where they give you an hour a day to eat all the carbohydrates you want, are an exercise in weight gain and self abuse. It is amazing how many calories you can eat in an hour when you put your mind to it – especially if you are eating sugar and flour products. Technically the sugar and flour calories (pure carbohydrate – 4 calories per gram) are the carrier for fat calories (9 calories per gram) which do most of the damage. Most of the calories in ice cream, cake, pie, cookies, pastry and even pizza – come from fat. There’s no magic time of day or night when you can feed freely, and not expect to get hurt.
