If you can keep your calories down, you can probably maintain, going off a low carb diet 1-2 days a week. You probably need to keep your calories under 3000 a day to maintain on your 1-2 off days, reasonably freely feeding on dead animals and low carb vegies Monday through Friday. If you can keep your calories and carbohydrates down, you can probably lose weight. You probably need to keep your calories under 1500 a day, and your carbohyrate intake under 10-20 grams per feeding, in order to lose weight fast enough to stay motivated on your diet.
