The magic numbers for weight loss – 1000 calories and 10-20 grams of carbohydrate

There’s a reason I want you to limit your carbohydrates as well as your calories. If you don’t drastically cut your carbohydrate intake, you’re going to be way too hungry, to stay on a diet low enough in calories to lose weight. You have to keep your calories around 1000 (1500 max) in order to lose weight fast enough to stay motivated, to see the scale move, to put up with the deprivation of dieting. If your calories are much over 1000 a day, the scale won’t drop quickly enough to keep you dieting. But if your carbohydrate intake is much over 10-20 grams per feeding, your are going to be to hungry to stay on 1000 calories per day. The less carbohydrate you eat, the less hungry you are going to be.
