The type of fluid you drink doesn’t matter, as long as you drink about a gallon (128 ounces) a day while you are losing weight, and it’s calorie free. You can drink water, coffee, tea, iced tea, iced ocffee, diet pop, Starbucks tea and coffee – whatever. You can sweeten your fluid with Equal, SweetnLow, Splenda or Truvia. You can add lemon. But don’t add milk to coffee or drink milk based coffee drinks. Starbucks sells a lot of 600 plus calorie coffees – avoid them. You need a gallon a day of non caloric fluid to flush the fat you are burning through your kidneys. Fat burns to large molecules, so you need a lot of calorie-free liquid, to keep your kidneys healthy as you are losing weight.
