My best low carb advice

My best low carb advice

The best low carbohydrate advice I can give you, if that you absolutely, postively cannot eat as much as you want on a low carb (5-10 grams of carbohydrate per feeding) diet and expect to lose weight. Every day I see patients who are in ketotis, have been in ketosis all week, and have not lost any weight. Nothing, nada, no weight loss at all. When I do the calories, they are generally in stupid territory. You can’t order a large pizza and eat the cheese and sausage off the top, leave the crust, and expect to lose weight. You can’t order a 2 pound steak at Morton’s and expect to lose weight. You can’t order an omelet at IHOP (they don’t sell a regular omelet with less than 1200 calories, wish I were kidding) and expect to lose weight. You can’t eat a large bag of pork rinds or a large package of cream cheese or a big bag of nuts and expect to lose weight. I don’t care what the magic low carb diet books promise you. Not gonna happen.
