Low fat weight loss – high fat maintenance

Low fat weight loss – high fat maintenance

The best way to lose weight is to limit fat intake as much as possible. Eat just enough protein to spare lean body
mass. This is about 1 gram of protein per kilogram of body weight for women, and 1.5 grams of protein per
kilogram of body weight for men. In English, this means you need to eat about 75-125 grams of protein a day,
to prevent your body from breaking down muscle. The easiest way to do this is to eat very low fat animal
protein – lean beef, Eggbeaters, fish, shellfish and poultry – when you want to lose weight. Once you have lost
weight, the easiest way to maintain is to keep your protein at 75-125 grams per day, and add the right kind of
fat. Eat beef and lamb and salmon and turna. Eat the fat on meat. And add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to every
meal.
