Behavior mod and apps don’t work for weight loss

Generally speaking, behavior mod and apps don’t work for weight loss. After a couple weeks of obsessively posting everything you eat into your phone, it gets old and you’ll probably stop. Eating off smaller plates and putting your fork down between bites doesn’t work in the long run either. Hard to get those small plates at McDonald’s, and if you’re in a time crunch, it’s amazing how quickly you can eat and put your fork down between swallows. Behavior modification for weight loss was a craze in the 60’s, and it’s (slightly) resurfaced in a ton of charting and social-support (rah-rah) weight loss apps. Weight loss is primarily a medical problem. You’ll shake off behavioral handcuffs pretty quickly.
